Ecoaims participates at IBU Biathlon for All Kids and Youth Recruitment Forum 2024
The Biathlon for All project is an initiative by the International Biathlon Union (IBU) aimed at promoting and expanding the sport of biathlon globally, especially among children and young people. Ecoaims participates in this project as one of the system providers, contributing our expertise and resources to support its goals.
The IBU Biathlon for All Kids and Youth Recruitment Forum in Östersund, Sweden, provided an excellent platform to discuss these efforts. This event allowed us to share ideas with experts from around the globe, from the IBU, as well as representatives from Mid Sweden University and the Swedish Biathlon Federation, all with the common goal of fostering the growth of biathlon on a global scale.
The forum’s agenda was packed with insightful sessions and discussions. It began with an introduction to the Biathlon for All initiative and its importance. This was followed by sessions on talent identification and development, and sustainable training and coaching for youth athletes. Representatives from the Swedish Biathlon Federation and the Östersund Biathlon Club shared their experiences in recruiting and developing young athletes, followed by a Q&A session.
After lunch, project coordinators from various national federations shared best practices. The afternoon sessions included presentations on the first-year outcomes of the Biathlon for All project and insights from the project’s suppliers. The day concluded with a visit to the Östersund Biathlon Stadium, where participants could test rifles and explore a mobile shooting range.
“It was great to participate this forum with 50 experts from biathlon world including people from more than 30 different national biathlon federations. Truly international event. Forum was also another great example of IBU’s plans and commitment for Biathlon4All – project and growing the sport globally”

The second day began with a summary of the first day’s activities and workshops focused on different aspects of the project. These workshops were followed by presentations and discussions on digital marketing and advertising strategies for promoting the Biathlon for All initiative. The forum wrapped up with a road map discussion for the project’s future and final discussions before concluding with lunch at Mid Sweden University.
Throughout the forum, we explored innovative approaches, addressed various challenges, and discussed strategies for building a global network to engage young people in biathlon. Recognizing that these young athletes represent the future of our sport, we believed that through collective effort, we could ensure biathlon continues to thrive and captivate audiences worldwide.
The forum was a resounding success, marking the beginning of new initiatives and collaborations aimed at securing the future of biathlon!
